Law Enforcement Advocacy

At the Elizabeth Buffum Chace Center, we understand that it is difficult contacting law enforcement with questions regarding domestic violence and sexual assault, even in times of crisis. That is why we have three law enforcement advocates who work in the Coventry, East Greenwich, West Greenwich, North Providence, Johnston, and Cranston police departments.
To reach the advocate for:
Coventry, West Greenwich, or East Greenwich call:
(401)826-8915 or e-mail yinaldiss@ebchouse.org.
To reach the advocate for North Providence call:
(401) 231-4533 ext. 145 or email nicolev@ebchouse.org.
To reach the advocate for Johnston or Cranston call:
(401)477-5040 (Cranston), (401)757-3139 (Johnston) or
e-mail racheld@ebchouse.org.
Law Enforcement Advocates are not police officers, but advocates employed by non profit agencies.
These phone numbers are not emergency numbers; if it is an emergency please call 911.
To reach a LEA in another police department, please check out the RI Coalition Against Domestic Violence’s list here.
our mission
Our mission is to end the perpetration and societal tolerance of interpersonal violence, including all forms of domestic and sexual abuse, and until that is achieved, to provide comprehensive services to victims and education in the community.
